A lovely varied concert featuring Faure's famous Requiem, as well as Mendelssohn's Hear my Payer/O for the Wings of a Dove and Bach's Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring. We were also fortunate enough to be accompanied by the talented string group the Grainger String Ensemble, who added a wonderful extra element to the overall sound.
All the profits raised from this concert will be shared between the Coda Music Trust (specifically for their music therapy and work with disadvantaged children) and The Alzheimer's Society. Both of these charities provide a lot of help and support to those in need and do a great amount of work within our local community.
We would like to thank our wonderful audience for their kind support and their generous donations. It was a wonderful enjoyable evening that helped to raise a lot of money for some really worthwhile charities.
A fun and lively piece telling the Old Testament story of Noah and The Ark. Full of entertaining tales of the difficulties of fitting so many people and animals into a wooden boat during a storm, this piece is extremely popular and appealing to people of all ages.

Comments from the choir : "What an enjoyable performance", "It was great to have some audience participation, they sung really well - must be a few potential new members there at least!", "How wonderful to see so many children there, and such fabulous costumes - top marks must go to the Dalmation!"

This piece by Antony Le Fleming was specially commissioned by Anne Luneburg for the Choir of St. Mary's to commemorate her late mother Diana Rees, a much loved and once very active member of the Candover Community, also the great grand-daughter of of the Reverend Sumner Wilson, the church's first Rector.
